Snickers and the Miniature Quilt

Remember the little one inch fabric squares Snickers and I cut out a while back? Well, here is the product of one of our ventures into quilting. I gave this miniature to my boss for Christmas when I was her Secret Santa. It was so much fun to make. I was very happy to be able to give it to her.

Snickers was a little funny about posing with me. She is still a little timid when around new objects.

Hi Sharon:

Found your blog today when looking for Rat Terrier blogs.

I rescued Mollie (rat terrier) a couple of years ago when she was 1 1/2 yrs old. She's my very first small dog (I've always had big dogs - - still do). I can't tell my friends & families enough about little dogs - - especially Rat Terriers.

While my Jess (husky/aussie mix) is the most gentle & quiet dog in the world, it's Mollie that entertains me beyond belief. The energy!

Glad to have found your blog. Your quilt is amazing. I'm not too crafty, but am learning to crochet doggie sweaters. For who? Yep, Mollie's little shivering body.

Have a great day! Stay warm!

Wow, that's an amazing quilt. Wish my mum will make one for me! Dad knitted me a fluffy rug. I like cuddling up with it.

Hi Snickers!

Julie -

Your Mollie and my Bailey have that in common - he likes his sweaters, too. But the chi I have - Hoggle - is perfectly fine without a sweater (and acts like I'm torturing him if I put one on for a photo op)

Aren't dogs funny?

Thanks for all the kind comments. Jenn I loved your link. What nice dogs.
Julie, adopting Snickers has been very rewarding for us. It is so nice to come home to this little animal. We used to have a Golden/Irish mix. A little crazy, but mellow as she got over 2 yrs. Snickers has been a like a little Irish Golden mix with spunk. She needed it to get through her first two years. When we found her she had been neglected, then left in a shelter. We needed to make the difficult choice to amputate a leg. It has been worth it. I would definately rescue another rat terrier. They are really wonderful dogs. Did you know they are considered the first American breed?
