In autumn when the shadows grow long, we are sometimes surprised at what we might find. I like to walk Snickers around the yard before we start our walk in case she needs to use the facilities. Earlier this week, we had a blast of heavy snow that lasted all of thirty minutes. Yet, today we find a blaze of color from our fall mums. Snickers couldn't resist a sniff. All summer we saw a hummingbird or two flying in the yard gathering nectar. We never found the nests of these elusive guests until the autumn leaves fell and exposed their dwellings.
But enough, it's time for a walk so we can say hello to our canine friends.
